Infidel Links, My Wife Is An Alien Edition

Microwavable Spotted DickOn Thursday, my wife got her IR-1 immigration visa for the United States. We’re leaving sometime in the next few months. It’s a short-term/long-term tradeoff: I don’t want to settle down in South Korea. I’ve been listening to podcasts, because of the travel time to Seoul and the U.S. Embassy and back and all that time waiting in lines and chairs.

Can Mexico Teach the US A Lesson?

Results of an official preliminary count later indicated that Mexico's presidential election front-runner Enrique Pena Nieto holds a substantial lead over Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Mexico appears to be experiencing its own Kennedy-esque optimism. A young president with an ambitious agenda is on the job. Mexico can now criticize the United States for what the Clinton administration admonished Mexico during an earlier version of the financial crisis in the 1990s.

Issa Gets Too “Fast and Furious” With Holder

David Burge: “Obviously, Eric Holder is only withholding documents to cover up for the Bush administration.”

It’s another George W. Bush administration program gone awry, and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is the Obama administration who is taking the flak.

Republicans on the House oversight committee voted on Wednesday to recommend holding Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt of Congress in a dispute over internal Justice Department documents related to the botched gun trafficking operation known as “Fast and Furious.”

Is the Obama administration hiding secrets, or is the House Oversight committee overstepping its authority? What is Operaton Fast and Furious?
